Admitting it is Half the Battle.

I hate to admit it, but yes, I have an addiction.  No, it's not to food, exercise, yoga, books, music or gum.

I, Sherry L. Schutt have an addiction to....Spartacus, the HBO Series.

I've seen every single episode of every single season.  I loved Anthony Whitfield in the role as Spartacus in season one.  I mourned when he lost his battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  I felt cheated with each cliff hanger that ensued at the close of a season.  

And I sat on the edge of my seat with each fight scene in the area.  The blood, the gore, the beheadings that took place set my heart to racing.

I won't even get in to the sex scenes.  The heat in the ménage a trois between Lacretia, Batiatus, and Gaia was positively steamy!(2011 Gods of the Arena).

I was thrilled beyond words when the final season premiered on Friday Night.  Spartacus: War of the Damned did not disappoint.   I had my popcorn popped, my wine (bottle and glass) sitting near me, and my DVR set to record. 

Although I am mourning the end of a series this year, I will savor each and every episode and action packed scene thrown at me.

Merry Christmas!

For Christmas 2022, I had promised Blaine that I would take him to Million (aka Michael) and get his UJ (University of Jamestown) tattoo recolored.  Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and I couldn't fulfill my promise to him. Christmas 2023 I was  subtly  reminded that I owed him his gift from last year!  He forgets  to brush his teeth or clean his apartment but gosh darn he sure remembers if it's something he wants!  Michael was all about making it look like new again and hooked us up with an appointment yesterday.   What a day!!! We started out with coffee and egg McMuffins and plenty of conversation as we rolled down the interstate! I think his mouth was going faster than we were traveling! We covered so man y topics! We laughed a lot but cried a bit too as we remembered the farm and grandpa and grandma.
