Winter Woes....

Well, I just went through a liteniny of woes on my Yoga blog, but I'll list an entirely different set of woes here.

Where to start - I have my computer back after having memory installed due to my wonderful new little printer using up so much memory.

The computer guy says, "it's not the printer" - but your antivirus program (Norton) is using a ton of memory, and it's not even a good program - it catches only 1/2 the viruses out there." Huh?? Just what I wanted to know.

That, and I STILL can't print using my accounting program as it is an antiquated program that won't work with anything out there! Fabulous!!!

He suggested going out and getting the Office Home and Student version of Microsoft Word (I'm running Works, which NOBODY uses anymore) and install it ($150 later), as well as uninstall my Norton to free up some memory (of which I have TONS of new stuff installed) and install a FREE awesome antivirus called AVG.

Ok - I'll get right on that when I have tons of time.

Yesterday was just an average day until I went downstairs to get a package of hamburger for homemade pizza I was going to make later in the afternoon. Hmmm, want to venture a guess what I found when I lifted the lid to the freezer? Yep! Water! Our freezer bit the dust! So, yours truly had to package up what was salvageable and toss it out in to the -10 outside (the ONLY time you'll hear me thank the subzero temperatures!)

After hubster threw a conniption fit, he went to town to buy a new freezer. All well and good. He comes home and says, "well, we now have a $780 freezer that doesn't work." Huh?? Seems the plastic didn't hold the lid down well enough. The wind took the lid and lifted it and sprung the frame on the lid "somewhere between town and home". Well, doesn't that just bite??!

They are going to reorder us a new lid, but in the meantime, our meat is out in the snow, the new freezer is downstairs, unusable and I'm cranky! How do you like those apples?!

It's just a freezer - I know that, and it's only meat- albeit a freshly butchered steer of a month ago. ~(insert unladylike snort here)~ I was growing attached to those t-bone steaks dernnit! Oh well, it's not like we don't have a feedlot full of the critters!

I went to Church today to learn that my best friend's cat died this morning. Pooh was a good kitty. I said a prayer for him.

I came home, did yoga, and life was better.

Tommorrow is Monday. Oh joy!

Next time Matt and I come to town we will come out and have Matt perform computer surgery. He likes doing it, and is pretty good at it!
Sorry to hear about the bad weekend. I had a good time with Mom and Blaine on Sat. night.
Miss you!
