It has been a while....

Too long, in fact. I have been quite busy with my yoga classes - which is a good thing. I've picked up a 3rd class teaching yoga to the local college soccer teams (mens & womens). The coach stated that he wanted an athletic type of class which focused on flexibility and balance and was I "up for it?" Well.....duh! Yoga is a passion of mine, and how could I not want to share it with a bunch of 20 somethings. Unfortunately, the class would be on Thursdays after my regular basics and happy hour classes. I was up for it, but was my body? That was the question. I must say, I handled the 1st class well and earned a thumbs-up from the coach. I believe the students were a bit taken aback also - perhaps not expecting the type of class format that I teach. That is all good though - I like to keep them guessing.

Winter weather is a sore subject with me. I was stormed in to town yet again this last Thursday. I called my sister Peg to see if room 402 at the Inn was available! She said that 402 was taken (frequent guest Kathy was also staying) but 204 was open! Sold! We had a good time as always with our little winter storm slumber parties! I think Kathy and I are going to have to try these slumber parties at Peg's house in the middle of summer sometime. Surely there will be a fierce thunderstorm that we don't want to drive home in, right??!!!

I'm still not feeling up to par with my cold. I have "zero" energy still and really didn't do a whole lot this weekend other than the basic, laundry, cleaning, etc. I'm hoping that things will be on the upswing this week, but I must learn to take a que from the Pearls of Wisdom (posted on the yoga blog) ....and take care of myself.

For those who are unaware, my nephew Blaine returned home from Idaho with 2 Silver medals and 1 bronze. He did spectacular. My brother stated that the coaches nicknamed him Rocketman as he kept improving on all of his times. The 400x4 he ran was a spectacular race. His team was in last place when Blaine received the handoff - he took them to silver! Keep in mind, this is running on 2 feet of compacted snow, in snowshoes. His last race was the 400. He ran it in 1 minute, 24 seconds (4 seconds better than his qualifying time!). He received bronze for his efforts - which is still quite fantastic. I am so proud of that young man! He was even honored at 1/2 time of the mens basketball game. It was so heartwarming to hear the announcer speak of Blaine's accomplishments in Idaho - as well as mentioning that he's the 1st Athlete in the Special Olympics Hall of Fame (ND) and Special Olympics Athlete of the Year and Man of the Year. But hey, I'm not biased or anything! ~L~ I've often said, he's as close to having a son as I'll ever get, and I couldn't ask for a better son than Blaine.

He has every reason to be proud of himself!

Well, it is getting late and I need my beauty sleep if I'm going to be bright and chipper for work this week.

Whose room is the preferred one? Probably Karen's..... my "new" bed is not a comfy (Mom's new bed rocks).

Drink plenty of water and tea.....it helps flush out the cold and helps with energy a bit.
