Brrr!!!!
I don’t know how any of you feel, but here’s my thoughts: it’s freakin cold outside!! I’ve been snuggled up to my heater (that’s under my desk) all day long. I’m even seriously considering buying some of those fashionable gloves with the fingers that can come off. (Remember, Madonna used to wear them?!) Seriously! I would even pay to have a hot flash right now!! J
Supposedly the building has a state-or-the art heating and cooling system. Right! I think they forgot the heating part because it’s 60 degrees in here 12 months out of the year! If this is a prelude to what winter is going to feel like, I’m moving SOUTH! Anyone have any good beachfront property they want to rent to me?
So, now that you’ve listened to me whine just a little bit… how the heck are you doing?? Me? I’m doing good. I’m listening to my favorite DJ on the radio (A.J. Fantastic!),and it’s Thursday-which means two things 1) I get to teach yoga tonight and 2) tomorrow is Friday! Yay!! The weekend looked like it was going to be uneventful….for all of about 2 seconds. My Saturday is booked solid and so is my Sunday. Once more I will fall exhausted in to bed on Sunday night and mutter, “I really must slow down” as my eyes close in 3.5 seconds. I’ll have time to rest when I’m old…but for now, I have places to go and peeps to see!
Do I know any other news? Not really. I was disillusioned this morning when I thought it was Friday only to discover it was actually Thursday (MAJOR let down). I have a close friend going through some health issues right now that has me seriously concerned for them. I have a list of peeps that I say prayers for each morning as I meditate; this person has officially moved to the front of the list. I’m a huge believer in the power of prayer and using the positive energy of the universe to channel good things in to the body and life. At the end of most of my yoga practices, I always take a moment of “gratitude and appreciation” for ourselves and our lives, then ask students to send healing thoughts and prayers to those “suffering from illness or anyone experiencing hardship in their life.” I always feel so connected in that moment.
