Tis The Season

I think I am ready...for the most part.   I have gifts all taken care of, I just need an afternoon to wrap everything up...literally.   I'd gladly pay someone to wrap presents for me...cuz I'm horrible at it.   But, it's the thought that counts, right?

So today starts the 12 days of Christmas.  There will be a whole lot of stuff packed in to the next couple of weeks and it's going to be fun.

Tomorrow night I'm meeting with friends (current and former) for a few drinks at the Grille.  Then Saturday night we're going to the new Star Wars movie with Tom's nephew and his family.   Sunday is a baby shower for a family friend and co-worker.   Somewhere in there I'll find time to work out, in addition to teaching two yoga classes, and wrap presents, deliver gift cards, do laundry and wash dishes.  I'm superwoman....right?

Next week I'll be teaching on my regular yoga schedule, but then I'm taking a break for a few days from my yoga studio until the week after January.  It will be a welcome break, both mentally and physically.

I'm looking forward to hosting Christmas Eve with my sister Peggy, Karen and Merle.  We'll be missing Dave, Joan and Matt, of course...but there will always be next year. 

Christmas Day we will have Tom's nephew Robert and his family over.  

It will be a good Christmas .....

Yes Superwoman, it definitely will be a good Christmas at our place as well.

Last night we took in the Steve Michaels concert - Elvis Wonderful World of Christmas - a sold out show. Man, can that guy sing like Elvis and definitely looks like the King!

Next week we also go to see the new Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi. We were able to pre-order some VIP theatre tickets along with a couple of our friends so we should have a blast!

Like yourself, we've been busy Christmas shopping, tree putting up, gift wrapping, attending Christmas events, etc. etc. etc.

The only downside about this time of year is the cold weather here - a balmy (not!) chilly-bear 5F environment. Oh well, other than snow shoveling, at least I don't have to walk a dog, like some of my frozen neighbours :-)

So Merry Christmas and a very healthy happy and prosperous New Year to you Sherry. Hope you and yours enjoy the season.

Merry Christmas!

For Christmas 2022, I had promised Blaine that I would take him to Million (aka Michael) and get his UJ (University of Jamestown) tattoo recolored.  Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and I couldn't fulfill my promise to him. Christmas 2023 I was  subtly  reminded that I owed him his gift from last year!  He forgets  to brush his teeth or clean his apartment but gosh darn he sure remembers if it's something he wants!  Michael was all about making it look like new again and hooked us up with an appointment yesterday.   What a day!!! We started out with coffee and egg McMuffins and plenty of conversation as we rolled down the interstate! I think his mouth was going faster than we were traveling! We covered so man y topics! We laughed a lot but cried a bit too as we remembered the farm and grandpa and grandma. After the tattoo, we went ro Scheels for a few more Christmas gifts.. a swim bag for his Special Olympics swimming gea...
